STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA       COURT OF EQUITY
SURRY   COUNTY           April  Term , 1848

JOHN CASTEVANS and ELIZABETH CASTEVANS, his wife, and others

Vs.

WILLIAM VESTAL ET AL

Petition for Sale of Land 

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendants, WILLIAM 
VESTAL, JESSE VESTAL, NATHAN VESTAL, ALLEN VESTAL, BENJAMIN HENSHAW and SARAH 
HENSHAW, his wife, are not  inhabitants of this state:  it is therefore 
ordered by the Court that publication be made for six successive weeks in the 
Patriot, a newspaper printed in Greensboro, that unless the said Defendants 
appear at our next Court to be held for the County of Surry  in the Court 
House at Rockford  on the 1th Monday in September next,  then and there to 
plead, answer or demur to this issue, judgment will be taken pro confesso will 
be entered against them.
