T. C. HAUSER, GEORGE WILSON and wife, SOPHIA WILSON

Vs.

THOMAS EAST, JR., HAYWOOD EAST, ALVIS EAST, MARY EAST, intermarried with JOHN 
LISK; NANCY EAST, intermarried with JAMES WOOTEN, SALLY intermarried with 
GEORGE ZIGLER; ELIZA, intermarried with JESSE EAST, JULIA EAST and JOHN FLYNT 
and his wife, ELIZABETH FLYNT

Petition for Sale of Land 

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendants, THOMAS, 
HAYWOOD, JULIA EAST AND SALLY, intermarried with GEORGE ZIGLER, AND ELIZA, 
intermarried with JESSE EAST, NANCY, intermarried with  JAMES WOOTEN, are not  
inhabitants of this state:  it is therefore ordered by the Court that 
publication be made for six successive weeks in the Patriot, a newspaper 
printed in Greensboro, that unless the said Defendants appear at our next 
Court to be held for the County of Surry  in the Court House at Rockford  on 
the 1th Monday in March 1849,  then and there to plead, answer or demur to 
this issue, judgment will be taken pro confesso and the hearing held ex parte 
as to them.
