RUTLEDGE, and LUCINDA RUTLEDGE by their next friend, WILLIAM D. RUTLEDGE)

Original Bill

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendants, LUCY 
HOWELL, who intermarried with STEPHEN HOWELL, and NATHAN RUTLEDGE,  are not  
inhabitants of this state:  it is therefore ordered by the Court that 
publication be made for six successive weeks in the Patriot, a newspaper 
printed in Greensboro, that unless the said Defendants appear at our next 
Court to be held for the County of Surry  in the Court House at Rockford  on 
the 1th Monday in March next ,  then and there to plead, answer or demur to 
this issue, judgment will be taken pro confesso and the hearing held ex parte 
as to them and entered against them accordingly.
