Marched to Petersburgh, VA, went on to Cabin Point to attack Col Tarlton "who hearing of our march took to his Boots and evaded us". Discharged near Petersburgh. General was Lawson, Col John Halcomb, Majors Phillip Halcomb & Overstreet. Applicant was born in the year 1762 in King William County, Virginia, no record of age. Living in Prince Edward, VA and have since lived and now live in Surry County, NC. Stephen [his X mark] Wood Affidavit as to character by John Wright, Clergyman; John Angel [his X mark] and Westly [his X mark] Armstrong, all of Surry County.
