DIED.

   At Mt. Airy, Surry County, on the 29th April, after a protracted illness, 
Gen. G. GRAVES. He served the State in both branches of the Legislature; was 
one of the oldest Trustees of the University of the State, and was Clerk and 
Master of Surry for thirty-two years.
