Mr. G. B. Reves, of Surry County

Elkin, June 27. Mr. George B. Reves died this morning at 8 o’clock at his home, 
three miles from here, aged 79 years. He had been in poor health for the past 
twelve months, Bright’s disease developed about three months ago and he 
gradually sank under it till the end came.

He was born in Stokes County and on arriving at manhood he went to Mississippi 
and engaged in farming.  He was twice married. His second wife and six children 
survive him. Four children by his first wife are living-one son and one daughter 
in Oklahoma, one son in California and one daughter in Arkansas.

The funeral services were held at maple Springs church today at 3 o’clock p.m., 
after which the remains were interred in the cemetery by the members of 
Jonesville Lodge, No. 227. A.F.M., of which order he had long been a consistent 
and faithful member.
