Surry County NC, will of Terry Thomas Bradley, 1784 Filed in the Probate Court of Surry County, NC. In the Name of God, Amen: I, Terry Bradley of Surry Co. in the state of NC, being very sick and weak of body, but in perfect health sense (sic) and memory and remembering that all men must die and as it is His pleasure the Almighty God to bestow on me a small matter of worldly goods. I bestow in the manner following: First, recommend myy sould to God Who gave it to me. Believing in Him through Christ for mercy. Secondly, my will and devise is to give and bequeth(sic) to my son, Leonard Keeling Bradley, two hundred acres of land lying on the north side of my land I now live on, joining Samuel Warmock line, Joshus Tilley and John Bradley lines. Also my will and desire is to give and bequeth(sic) to my son John Bradley, three hundred acres of land joining of Leonard Bradley on the South side and part of the said tract I now live on. Also my will and desire is to give to my son George Bradley all the remaining part of my lands containing four hundred and seventy acres including my land and plantation on the North side of Dan River. Also my will and desire is to leave to my beloved wife all the residue or remainder part of my estate during her natural life and after her decease for to be equally divided amongst my surviving children and whatsoever part of my estate shall fall to my daughter Molly Rebecca Kelin and after her death to be equally divided amongst her children. Also I appoint John Bradley and George Bradley to this my last will and testament. In witness wehereof I have here unto set my hand and affixed my seal this 30th day of September, 1784.
