                                $20 REWARD
                                DESERTED 
   From the Barracks of Tarboro', WILLIAM FRANCIS, born in Tyrrell  County, 
aged 21 years, five  feet seven and 5/8 inches high, dark complextion, dark 
eyes and dark hair. Lived with THOMAS JONES in Great Alligator River, where 
they will probably go first, and there endeavor to get on board a water craft.
   Twenty Dollars reward will be given for apprehending the above soldier and 
delivering to some office in the U.S. Service, and all reasonable expenses 
paid. All masters of vessels are forewarned of harboring said deserters.
