CLAIR SPRUILL June 21, 1915 I St. Clair SPRUILL of the City of Baltimore State of Maryland, do make publish and declare my last will and testament as follows. After the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses, I give devise and bequeath my estate as follows. FIRST I give and bequeath unto Valerie von D. MARBURG, daughter of W.L. MARBURG, the sum of one thousand dollars absolutely, I request however, but do not make it a condition, that said sum be used toward paying the expenses incident to her debut unto society. SECOND I give and bequeath unto the University of Maryland a corporation of the State of Maryland, the sum of two thousand five hundred dollars (2500.00) absolutely, the same to be used for the Hospital maintained by it. THIRD The rest residue and remainder of my estate real, personal or mixed and wheresoever situate I give devise and bequeath unto Charles W. MITCHELL, JR. and Nancy W. MITCHELL children of my friend Dr. Charles W. MITCHELL to be equally divided between them share and share alike. I nominate to be the executor of this my Will my friend William L. MARBURG. In Witness whereof I hereunto subscribe my name and affix my seal, in the City of Baltimore, the 21st day of June 1915. JACKSON, Register of Wills for Baltimore City ----------------------- North Carolina In the Superior Court Tyrrell County It appearing to the satisfaction of the court from the exemplification of the record hereinafter mentioned, that the last will and testament of St. Clair SPRUILL deceased, a citizen of the City of Baltimore, State of Maryland, has been duly proved and allowed in the proper court of probate of said city and state, according to the laws of said state, and it further appearing that the said St. Clair Spruill left property in the court of Tyrrell, and the State of North Carolina, it is therefore ordered and adjudged that the exemplification of said will and of its probate in the proper court of the City of Baltimore and State of Maryland which has been produced and exhibited here duly certified and authenticated, be allowed, filed and recorded in this court This 30th day of March 1917.
