1. Sarah Lucretia Austin married Amos H. Griffin, 28Dec1854, Henry Carver
JP, Bk1p15, Stanly Co. NC

2. A John Griffin was executor for estate of Bryant Austin Esq in 1842.

3. 1860 cens Stanly Co shows a John T Griffin 37, Susanna 26, Elizabeth 11,
Eliza 9, Amos 6, William 3,   Alecy 1/12 (993/1008 page 139.  Also in 1850
census.

4. 1850 Stanly Co census shows a Enoch C Griffin 25, Mary A 22, Archibald
3, Martha J 5/12.

5. This Bible has a brown hard back type cover and contains Old and New
Testaments translated out of The Original Tongues; and with The Former
Translations Diligenty Compared and Revised. New York: American Bible
Society, 1889.  There are many hand written notes regarding various topics
and scripture locations.

6. My grandmother was Susan E(merline) Smith, born Oct. 13, 1884.  Susan E.
Smith married William Schuyler Ledbetter of Stanly Co. NC. The bible is in a 
plastic bag and two brown paper bags.  One paper bag is labeled Efird's 
Department Store and has the name C.A. Smith penciled on it.  The bible 
indicates relationships between Smiths, Austins, and Griffins.
