Served in Revolutionary War.

The following information is included in Stephen Billue's 
pension papers:

He was born in Caswell County, NC 24 Sep 1756.

While living in Mecklenburg County, NC he volunteered for the 
war in the fall of 1777.

He applied for pension in Mecklenburg County on 25 Feb 1833 and 
died 23 May 1837.

His wife, Mary applied for pension and after her death, their son
Stephen applied for pension. Surnames found in this pension record 
show these heirs were pensioned under the surname Ballew.

A family bible record is included in the pension file.
