An Old Minister

Concord Standard: J.W. Mehaffey has received a letter from a son of Rev. 
Elijah Morrison who in the long, long ago was pastor of the Presbyterian 
Church in Concord. The Reverend Morrison, while pastor here, lived where Capt. 
Charles McDonald lives. There are many people here who were baptised by him 
and in after years listened to his earnest lectures and sermons. Rev. Morrison 
is an uncle of Esq. S.E.W. Pharr and Mrs. Virginia Urvin of Concord. He is now 
living in Anson County at the ripe old age of 87 years.
