ROGERS & JOHN P. HOUSTON are firmly bound unto SHEPHERD ROGERS in the sum of Two Hundred Dollars to be paid to the said SHEPHERD ROGERS his heirs, executors and administrators; and to which payment well and truly to be made and done, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this 9th day of April Anno Domini, 1856. The condition of the above Obligation is such, That whereas, at April Sessions Union County Court of Pleas and Quarter Session SHEPHERD ROGERS did recover judgment against DANIEL D. ROGERS for the sum of one dollar with which judgment the said DANIEL D. ROGERS being dissatisfied did pray an appeal to the next Superior Court of Law, for Union County, which is granted. Now, if the said D. D. ROGERS does and shall prosecute the said appeal with effect, and does and shall well and truly perform the judgment, sentence and decree, which the said Superior Court shall make thereon, in case they shall decide against him, then this bond to be void -- otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
