ELLIOTT & MARY A. ELLIOTT of the County of Cass in the state of Georgia have made constituted & appointed and be these presents do make constitute & appoint JOSEPH ADAMS of the County of Union in the State of North Carolina our true and lawful attorney for us & in our name, place and stead to sue and demand for collect receive and recover from SAMUEL WALKUP, Executor of JONATHAN BURLYSON, deceased, the legacy & distributive share of the Estate of JONATHAN BURLYSON, late of Union County in the State of North Carolina and all sum of money and other demand of every kind nature and description whatsoever due, owing or payable to us from the estate of JONATHAN BURLYSON, deceased, of Union County in the state of North Carolina or what may become due & payable to us as one of the Legatees or distributees of the estate aforesaid under the will of the said JONATHAN BURLYSON, deceased and to give good and sufficient receipt acquittances & discharges thereof and to execute all proper bonds & instruments necessary in the premises to the said SAMUEL H. WALKUP, Executor as aforesaid giving granting unto our said attorney full power & authority to do & perform all and every act & thing whatsoever, whatsoever request so necessary to be done & ___ the premises as full to all intents & purposes as we could do if personally present in the Power & authority of substitution & revocation hereby ratify & confirming all that our said attorney, or his substitute shall lawful do or cause to be done by virtue hereof & I do hereby ratify and confirm what our attorney JOSEPH STEWART by us heretofore appointed has done and a former power of attorney to him Executed by us & do hereby sustain & empower our said attorney by us now under these presents appoint & Ratify and confirm all the acts of our former attorney the said JOSEPH STEWART in the premises and we hereby authorize our present attorney to give full receipts & acquittances as well for what our former attorney has received from SAMUEL H. WALKUP, Executor as aforesaid under an informal power of attorney by us heretofore executed as for what he owes said attorney now hereby appointed & shall receive from the sd. SAMUEL H. WALKUP Executor of JONATHAN BURLYSON deceased and we do hereby Ratify and confirm all the acts of our former attorney as well as acts & deeds that may be done by our present attorney as fully & effectively as if done by our selves personally.
