Richard Harris, Adm'r of Lee Griffin
vs.
James Griffin, Mahala Griffin, Ala Griffin, Emily Griffin, Edith Harris, 
Jourdon James and Lucinda his wife, Naomi Griffin, Elizabeth Griffin and Minor 
Griffin, the three last infants under the age of 21 years

Whereas the debts of the estate of Lee Griffin dec'd do greatly exceed the 
value of the personal estate, and a sale of the lands will be necessary for 
the payment of said debts; and whereas James Griffin resides beyond the limits 
of the State. It is therefore ordered, that six weeks notice be given in the 
Charlotte Journal, that a petition for sale will be made by the administration 
at the next Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be held for the County of 
Union, at the Court House in Monroe on the 1st Monday in October next, to 
subject the lands to sale, under the Act of Assembly.
Witness J.M. Stewart, Clerk of said Court of Office the 1st Monday in July, 
and in the 76th year of American Independence, 1851
