Written: 1855

    Know all men by these presents that we JASON ROGERS & _______________ are 
held & firmly bound unto DANIEL D. ROGERS in the sum of Two Hundred dollars 
for the which payment we do hereby bind ourselves, our heirs, executors & 
administrators jointly and severally.
Sealed with our seals and dated this 5th day of July 1855.
     The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas a declaration 
in ejectment in the name of JOHN DOE on the devise of SHEPHERD ROGERS against 
RICHARD ROE with a notice to the said DANIEL D. ROGERS as tenant in profession 
has been returned to the Sheriff of Union County to the July Term 1855 of the 
Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions in said county. Now the condition of the 
above obligation is such that if the said SHEPHERD ROGERS, the real plaintiff 
in the said writ of ejectment, shall prosecute the same with effect or 
otherwise pay all such costs & damages as shall be awarded the said DANIEL D. 
ROGERS in failure thereof then the above obligation is to be void; otherwise 
to remain full force and effect.
