G.W. May v. William T. Watson, James Watson and Allen B. Gunner and Grace, his 
wife

Petition for partition, the real estate of Silas Watson, deceased

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the 
defendant/defendants, William T. Watson, James Watson and Allen B. Gunner and 
Grace, his wife reside beyond the limits of this State: It is therefore 
ordered by the Court that publication be made for six successive weeks in the 
Charlotte Journal notifying said defendant non-resident to be and Appear at 
our next Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be held for Union County at the 
Court House at Monroe on the 1st Monday in January. 

Then and there to plead, answer or demur to this petition filed: Otherwise 
judgment will be taken pro confesso and the matter will be heard ex parte will 
be made as to them.
Witness Hugh Stewart, Clerk of the said Court at office on the 1st Monday in 
October AD 1847
