SWANNER (Recorded) 1856, 16th Janr This indenture made this the 28th day of November 1855 Between Marsh of the county of Union and State of North Carolina of the one part and James M. Swanner of said county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that I the said Ebenezer Marsh for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and twenty five dollars to him in hand part by the said James M. Swanner the receipt whereof is hereby fully acknowledged by the said E. Marsh. I the said E. Marsh do bargain sell and convey to the said James M. Swanner one hundred and fifty acres of land lying on the waters of the Wide Mouth Branch in the county of Union bounded as follows Beginning at a stake by a R.O. in Joseph Stegalls field one R.O. pointer and runs No 3e0 Est 47 Chs 60 lin to a stake in the original Gilcrest land and then No 62 wt 31 Chs & 75 lin to a stake then So 30 Wt 47 Chs & 60 lin to a stake in Pebles Hasty’s line by 2 pines then said line 31 Chs 75 lin to the Beginning Containing one hundred and fifty acres to have and to hold & for the right and title of the above named land I for myself my heirs Adms Extors and assigns doth warrent and defend forever the above named land to James M.
