This deed, made this 8th day of November, 1886, by G. W. MOSER & wife, 
CLARINDA MOSER, E. B. MOSER & wife, MARTHA MOSER & J. C. MOSER of Union County 
and State of North Carolina to J. J. VANN of Union County and State of North 
Carolina. Witnesseth: That said G. W. MOSER and wife CLARINDA MOSER, E. B. 
MOSER & WIFE martha moser & J. C. MOSER in consideration of one hundred twenty-
nine dollars and thirty-six cents, to them paid by J. J. VANN, the receipt of 
which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold, and by these presents 
do bargain, sell and convey to said J. J. VANN and his heirs, all their right, 
title, interest & estate in & to a tract of land in Union County, N. C., 
adjoining the lands of ANO A. LANEY, SAMUEL ARANT, W. O. STARNES and others 
known as the Philmon tract which was willed to JERMINIA MOSER by her father, 
BURTON LANEY, containing one hundred acres more or less the interest in said 
land owned by the said parties of the first part and herein conveyed being an 
undivided one half to have and to hold the said interest in the aforesaid 
tract of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the 
said J. J. VANN, his heirs and assigns to him and their only use and behoof.
   And the said G. W. MOSER and wife, CLARINDA, E. B. MOSER and wife, MARTHA 
MOSER and J. C. MOSER covenant that they are seized of an undivided one half 
of said premium in fee, and have right to convey the same in fee simple; that 
the same are free from all incumbrances, and that they will warrant and defend 
the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever. In 
Testimony whereof, the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their 
hands and seals the day and year above written.
