From N.C. Troops 1861-1865
 
ELLIOTT, WILSON G. (B-1834) Private. Resided Union. Enlisted at age 28 on May 
8 1862. Wounded in the thigh at Sharpstown, Md. Sept. 17, 1862. Captured at 
Sharpstown, about same date. Confined at Fort McHenry, Md. Parolled on or 
about Oct. 13, 1862. Exchanged Aikin’s Landing, James River, Va. Nov. 10, 
1862. Returned to duty May-June 1863. Reported on guard duty at division 
headquarters in March- April 1864. Reported present Sept-Oct. 1864. 
Surrendered at Appomattox Court House, Va. April 9, 1865.
