The body was carried to Waxhaw Saturday for interment. For the past several years Mr. Broom had spent a good part of his time with his son in Sampson county, although he often visited his daughter, Mrs. Frank A. He was three times married, all his wives preceding him to the grave. Three sons and three daughters survive. The sons are W.C. Broom, of Waxhaw; Bunyan Broom, of Sampson; Cecil Broom, of West Virginia; and the daughters are Mrs. F.A. Krauss, of Waxhaw; Mrs. James Garrison, of Georgia, and Mrs. Carrie McLeod, of Georgia. One brother, Burrell Broom, of Belair, S.C., and one sister, Mrs. Abe Walker, of Sandy Ridge township, also survive. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Old Waxhaw Baptist church, and the interment was in the cemetery at that place. A large crowd of relatives and friends attended.
