Short Article from the Waxhaw Enterprise

Among those who came from a distance to attend the funeral services and 
burial of Mr. Calvin Broom were Mr. and Mrs. Cecil R. Broom and children of 
Huntington, West Virginia; Mr. Bunyan C. Broom and child of Clinton, North 
Carolina; Mrs. R. B. Driscoll of Charleston, South Carolina, Mrs. James 
Garrison and Mrs. Carrie McLeod of Homeland, Georgia, and Mr. and Mrs. I. 
A. DeArmon of Charlotte.

[Mrs. Driscoll was my mother's sister Jewell; Mrs. DeArmon was my mother's 
sister Olive]
