[Monroe Journal, Feb. 8, 1910] Aunt Patsey Crook, known many years to everybody in Monroe, died at her home north of town last Friday afternoon. She had been feeble for a long time and had not been in Monroe since the fourth of last July. Funeral was held Saturday at Shiloh by Rev. W. T. Albright. For years Aunt Patsey has traded with Crow Bros., and so fond of them she was that a while before she died gave directions to ask Mr. John Crow to buy her coffin and to administer on her estate. She left a tract of more than a hundred acres of land. Several children survive her.
