March 1 , 1860, North Carolina Argus DIED, on the 15th of February, 1860, in Providence, Union County, N. C., COLONEL JAMES A. DUNN, in the 67th year of his age, after a protracted illness of six weeks. COL. DUNN was a prominent citizen of Union County, and had frequently represented Union and Mecklenburg Counties in the State Legislature of North Carolina. He was also a member of the Convention to Amend the Consitution of the State. He was a Ruling Elder in the Presbyterian Church in Providence for many years preceding his death, and his loss will be greatly felt by his large family and a wide circle of friends, from all of whom he commanded the deepest respect as an honest man, good citizen and cordial friend.
