Reeder Mrs. Hattie Dora Reeder, 61 wife of H.S. Reeder, of the Macedonia section, died in the local hospital Friday morning after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late W.S. Long and Arminta Estridge Long of Mecklenburg county. Funeral services were held at Clear Creek Baptist church Saturday afternoon with Rev. George Huggins and Rev. John Simpson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Reeder had lived in Union county for the past 50 years. Surviving are her husband; six sons, William, Dewitt, Hubert, Ted, Ned, and Marvin Reeder, of Monroe; four daughters, Mrs. Esther Bennett of Monroe, Mrs. Ola Parker of the home, Mrs. Edith Pressley of near Wingate and Mrs. Blake Green of Marshville; a brother, Charlie Long of Concord; three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Smith and Mrs. Ella Haigler of Concord and Mrs. Lessie Rogers of Cramerton; 24 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
