   DIED, at White's Store, July 25th, 1859, MRS. FRANCES McLAUGHLIN, daughter 
of the late STEPHEN HASTY, ESQ., grand-daughter of JAMES GORDON, ESQ, and 
first child of SARAH A. GORDON. She was born in the Anson part of Union 
County, September 18, 1820,  married July 30, 1845, and joined the Methodist 
Episcopal Church in 1842, under the ministry of REV. LEVIN SCARBOROUGH. 
Thrice, within three months, has the Community of White's Store been called 
upon to acknowledge the affecting hand of the All Knowing Providence.
   In the death of this most amiable lady, the husband has lost the most most 
affectionate wife. His five interesting children have lost the most devoted, 
self sacrificing mother ... She was surrounded by unwearied friends, every 
pain that could be mitigated by sympathy, every want anticated and relieved.
