Burin Griffin was in the US Army stationed in N. Africa in 1940. He was a 
resident of Union County and the son of John Griffin and Louella Griffin of 
Monroe. He is the husband of Annie Louise Rushing Griffin and father of Sybil 
Ann Griffin Shearin of Wingate, N. C.
