This is a picture of Judge Van Buren Griffin born on March 1st, 1912. He was 
two years of age in this picture. His mother was the late Louella Sells Griffin 
and his father was John Walter Griffin of Monroe, N. C. He was one of eight 
children. He was the father of Sybil Griffin Shearin and Rick Griffin of 
Wingate, N. C. 

Additional Comments:
He died in 1995 in Wingate, N. C. and is buried in Wingate Cemetery. He is the 
grandfather of Theresa Lynn Chappell Cato of Monroe, Jeffrey Hunter Shearin of 
Wingate, N. C., Leigh Anne Griffin and Chris Griffin of Wingate, N. C.
