BROOKSTON BAPTIST CEMETERY (NEGRO)

Transcribed from Historical Records Survey by WPA, conducted 1940, of pre 
1914 cemetery markers in Vance County, North Carolina; only markers erected 
prior to 1914 were recorded, hence all markers in a cemetery are not 
necessarily shown; On occasion it appears information not on the gravestones 
was inserted into the inventory, presumably by family members or locals; 
any notations as to race of cemeteries were made on the original inventory 
and were not added by the transcriber.

Location: located behind church 3 acres in small settlement known as 
Brookston 7 miles from Henderson, N.C. "North" R. #2. and one mile from 
Greystone, N.C.

Condition: some plots well kept others few weeds and briars. General 
condition good.
