Nov. 14, 1860 November 14, 1860 The Standard of Raleigh, N.C. Nov. 14, 1860 $20 REWARD -- MY NEGRO BOY NELSON --ran away from my residence in Sandy Creek District on the 7th of October, and I will give the above reward for his return or placing him in jail so that I can get him. NELSON is between 15 and 16, and badly grown for that age, of a dark ginger color, limps slightly in walking when tired and has a bold look. He wore a cap, but may have changed his entire dress since he left. It is most likely he is endeavoring to pass as a free negro along the Railroad. He is a sharp, intelligent boy. JAS. W.
