  HENDERSON - Funeral rites for Herbert James Knight, 56, who died Tuesday at his 
home on Andrews Avenue, were held today. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.

  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Hancock Knight; two sons, James Knight of 
Henderson, and Russell Knight of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two daughters, Mrs. Edgar 
Marvin Edwards  of Henderson, and Mrs. John Marvin Stainback of Washington; four 
brothers, Willie Knight of Baltimore, Md.; Clinton, Alonzo and Graham Knight, all 
of Oxford; seven sisters, Mrs. Wayne Overton of Oxford, Mrs. Clyde Roberts of 
Hillsboro, Mrs. Barker Wynne of Kittrell, Mrs. Tommie Harten of Arlington, Va.; 
Mrs. J.C. Bolick and Mrs. Bessie Williams, both of Burlington; and Mrs. Melvin 
Preddy of Franklinton; and three grandchildren.
