A Markham relative passed along to me a Bible copyrighted 1827 and which 
appears to have belonged to Aaron Martial, who writes that he was born June 10, 
1781.  The Bible reports that Clarisca Martial (a wife? cousin? could not be 
sibling) was born Jan 6.,  1781, and that Calven Martial (a son?) started from 
Wake county to the west on Nov. 17, 1832 or 1833.  There are some pencil notes 
which are not legible, but appear to be dated 1857, have a name perhaps Joy B. 
Goodin, and a phrase “remember me tho many miles apart”.

A faint inscription seems to say “Aaron Martial his book Dec 1834".
