Notes

My grandfather, Jesse Griffin Ball, Sr. and twin sister were born in the
Graham, NC train station. 
Laura Griffin Ball was fleeing the war turmoil. Apparently the sister
deceased in Graham.
Great Grandmother Laura returned to New Bern, secured a booking on a packet
boat for evacuees bound for Baltimore. She and her offspring spent the
duration in Baltimore.

*Grandmother, Lavinia Kreth, b. 7/25/1863,  NJ. Evacuated by her parents to
the north as my grandfather. Both are buried in Oakwood Cemetary, Raleigh, NC
