Lewis Bledsoe married December 5, 1780, in Wake County North Carolina. Miss 
Fanney MOORE who was born February 6, 1766. The place of her birth and names 
of parents were not stated. Their marriage bond was filed in the County 
Clerk’s Office of Granville County, North Carolina.

Fanney BLEDSOE was allowed pension on account of the Revolutionary War 
service of her husband, Lewis, on her application executed November 8, 1836, 
while residing in Granville County, North Carolina, and where she was still 
living in 1852.

The following names of children of Lewis BLEDSOE and his wife Fanney, are 
shown in the claims:

Yancey (a son) born November 30, 1781
Zinc (a daughter ) born April 7, 1784
Terrell (a son) born date illegible
Gechoniah (a son) born July 31, 1788
Malala born September 30, 1790
Mikins (a son) born February 15, 1793
Beckey born May 1, 1795
Thurza born December 31, 1798
Washington born December 21, 1801
Alice born June 4, 1804
Allan (a daughter) born January 13, 1806

In order to obtain date of last payment of pension, the name and address of 
the person paid and possibly the date of death of soldier’s widow, Fanney 
you should write to the Comptroller General, General Accounting Office, 
Records Division, this city, and cite the following data: Fanney BLEDSOE, 
widow of Lewis certificate #333, issued December 20, 1836, rate $200.16 per 
annum, commence March 4, 1831, Act June 4, 1836, North Carolina Agency.
