Wake County, NC - Johns Cemetery ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Johns Cemetery, Auburn Church Rd., Garner, St. Mary's TWP., Wake Co., NC Lat. 35°42'31" N Long. 78°33'28" W This small family cemetery is enclosed by a wrought iron fence and sits on a little knoll in a sparsely settled rural neighborhood. Some of the headstones have been carefully mended and the cemetery is in good condition. Dr. Braxton Banks' house on E. Garner Rd. is listed in "The Historic Architecture of Wake County". From the intersection of Hwy. 70 East and Jones Sausage Rd., in front of the new White Oak Shopping Center, turn (N) onto Jones Sausage Rd. (SR 2547) and go .6 mi. to E. Garner Rd. (SR 1004). (This is a curvy piece of road which crosses the railroad tracks.) Turn right on E. Garner Rd. (SE) and go 1.6 mi. to Auburn Church Rd. (SR 2548). Turn onto Auburn Church Rd. which runs (N) only, and go .8 mi. to the cemetery on your right just after the intersection with Wall Store Rd.
