Sitting in a patch of woods between the parking lot and the ball fields at Womble Park Recreation Center in Holly Springs, NC The surrounding land is owned by the town of Holly Springs. The monument is in good condition. No future burials at this site. Directions: Hwy. 55 runs north and south through Holly Springs. South of the intersection of Hwy. 55 and SR. 1152 (Holly Springs Rd.) it is called Broad Street. About 3 blocks south of the intersection of Hwy. 55 & SR. 1152, there are 3 churches on the east side of the road. Any one of 5 streets south of the churches on the east side of Hwy. 55 will take you to Grigsby Ave. (SR 1395). These 5 streets are Maple Ave., Hickory Ave., Pine Ave., Elm Ave. or Oak Ave., all entering Grigsby Ave. At the stop sign turn right on Grigsby Ave. and follow it around a long curve until the Womble Park recreation area is on your left and Fair Glen Rd. is on your right. Take a left onto a black topped drive going into the park. You should go about 100 ft. About 20 ft. into a woodsy patch which separates a parking lot from the ball fields sits this grave.
