CHARLES STEPHENS and others It appearing to the Court by affidavit, that CHARLES STEPHENS and SALLY, his wife; JOHN S. STEPHENS, J. HENDERSON WOOD, and POLLY, his wife; BETSY HOLLEMAN, JOHN GREEN, JOHN WOODARD, JAMES WOODARD, ELAM SMITH and FRANKLIN SMITH, are non-residents of this State, it is ordered, adjudged and decreed, that advertisement be made for six weeks in the Raleigh Standard, commanding said defendants to appear and answer at the next term of this Court, or the petition in this case will be taken as confessed and heard ex parte as to them.
