Chappell of the one part and Phillip Adams of the other part Both of the County of Wake and State of North Carolina Witnesseth that the said Samuel Chappell for and in Consideration of the Sum of one hundred pounds to him in hand paid by the said Phillip Adams the receipt whereof he hath hereby acknowledged & himself Satisfied hath by these presents bargained Sold alliened ensealled and Confirmed unto him the Said Phillip Adams his heirs or assigns forever one Certain tract or parcel of Land Containing one hundred and twelve acres lying and being in Said County of Wake and on the North side of Nuce river. Begining at a hickory Pelig Rogers Corner in george Brassfields line runing thence along said Rogers line No.23 1/2 o West two hundred and thirty poles to a white oak near Corner thence with said North line N. one hundred and Eighty poles to said Phillip Adams Corner a small white oak thence by a direct line along said Adams old line to the Begining with all and Singlular the rights profits and ______________ with the _________________ and appertances thereunto in everywise appertaining or belonging unto him the said Phillip Adams, his heirs or assigns to his or there only proper use and behalp and he the said Samuell Chappell for himself his heirs or assigns agree and oblige himself that they will & shall forever warrant and defend the above bargained land and premises unto said Phillip Adams his heirs & from the lawfull claim of all persons whatsoever In witness whereof he the said Samuel Chappell has hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal the day and date above written.
