WARD, GRANTOR PHILIP ADAMS, GRANTEE This Indenture made the 15th day of August in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred & fifteen by and between Benjamin Ward of the County of Wake and State of North Carolina of the one part & Philip Adams of the County & State aforesd. Witnesseth that the said Benjamin Ward for & in Consideration of the Sum of Ten Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Philip Adams, the Receipt whereof he hath hereby Acknowledged and by these presents have Bargained Sold Ensealled and Confirmed to him the said Philip Adams, his heirs or assigns forever One Certain Tract or parcel of land Containing two acres by the same more or less. Bounded as follows, Begining at a Stake in Kimmans Allens line then South 12 West 33 pole to said Philips Adams line a pine & Post oad Thence along his line to said Allens Corner ?oad thence along his line to the Beginning with all and singular the rights profits and priviledges with every appertances thereto appertaining or belonging, and he the said Benjamine Ward does agree that he will forever warrant & defend the above bargained land & premises to him the said Philip Adams his heirs or assigns from all persons whatever to his or their only proper use & behalf.
