State to him in hand paid by the Said Phillip Adams the receipt whereof hath given granted Bargained Sold & Confirmed & by these presents do absolutely Bargain Sell Ensell & Confirm unto him the said Phillip Adams his heirs or assigns forever one Certain tract or parcel of land lying & being in the County of Wake & on the North side of Nuce river & bounded as follows to wit Beginning at the mouth of the Beverdam Creek at a percimon tree on the bank of Nuce River running thenc No.72 Est. 192 poles to two Small pines thence by a line of marked trees N. East 74 poles to two large pines Call. Brassfields Corner thence N. 20 East 118 poles to a pine then West Seventy Eight poles to a poplar & hornbeam at the mouth of the Mountain branch on the Beverdam Creek thence down Sd. Creek to the holly Island where Hezekiah Ferrell's line Sd. Creek then N. along Said Ferrells line 49 poles to a pine then N. 75 west 111 poles to a pine at a former post oak Corner then S. 55 W. 20 poles to a white oak thence S. 10 west 310 poles to a hickory Peleg Roger's Corner in Brassfield's line then N. 66 est.72 poles to a post oak thence 148 poles to a white oak on the bank of Nuce River at the mouth of the great branch thence Down the River as it meanders to the beginning being by Estimation Six hundred & seventy acres more or less with all and singular the rights profits & priviledges & appertenances unto him the S. Phillip Adams his heirs or assigns to his or there proper use & behalf & the said John Major for himself his heirs or assigns does & will forever warrant & defend the same bargained land & premises unto him the said Phillip Adams with every profit & advantage thereof In witness whereof he the said John Major has hereunto Set his hand & affixed his seal the day & date first above written.
