Witnesseth that the said Edward Cooley for and in consideration of the Sum of Two hundred and fifteen Dollars to him in hand paid by the Said William Shipp at or before the Ensealing and delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof the said Edward Cooley doth hereby acknowledge himself fully satisfied contented and paid hath given granted bargain & Sold and by these presents doth absolutely Bargain and Sell alien Enseal and confirmunto the Said William Shipp his heirs and assigns forever. a certain track or parcel of Land situate lying and being in the County of Wake as aforesaid on the South side of Neuse River and on both sides of Crooked Creek and bounded as follows. Beginning at a Spanish Oak in Robert Kennons line, then a South course along a line of marked trees 74 pole to a Horn beam on Crooked Creek. Thence up said Creek 24 poles to a white oak on the East of said Creek thence a South course along a line of marked trees through an Old field 24 pole to a white oak, on Said William Shipps line then East 118 pole to a dead pine stump Then South 163 pole to a black oak at the Road. Thence down the Road to pointers. Thence East to a persimmon tree then North 27 pole to a red oak. Thence West 12 pole to Scrub Oak at the Road. Thence down the Road 6 pole to a path to a stake then down the path N. 65 West 54 pole to a pine. Thence N. 24 poles to a pine, thence West 54 pole to a white oak on Crooked Creek. thence down the Creek to a poplar in Rober Kennons line thence West 71 pole to the Beginning, containing by Estimation 150 acres be the same more of less. to have and to hold the Said Bargain, promises unto the said William Shipp his heirs, Executor Administrators and assigns forever. Together with all Houses and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any way appurtaining and the said Edward Cooley doth agree for himself his heirs & that the said William Shipp his heirs & may hereafter, have hold occupy possess and enjoy the same without molestation whatever and the Said Edward Cooley doth agree that the Said land and premises is free and discharged from all manner of Incumberances whatever, and that he will warrant and defend the sameagainst lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.
