This land is adjacent to land owned by John Lourey and Hardie Lourey. REGISTER OF DEEDS DEED BOOK 12, PAGE 431 25 JAN 1837 / REG. 12 JUN 1837 John Lourey to Seth Curlin Deed This indenture made and indented on this 25th day of January Eighteen hundred & thirty seven by and between John Lourey and Seth Curlin both of the county of Wake and the state of North Carolina. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of ten dollars in hand paid by Seth Curlin to the said John Lourey at the sealing of these presents, he the said John Lourey hath given, granted, bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents doth give, grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Seth Curlin and his heirs forever one small tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county and state aforementioned and adjoining the lands of said Lourey and Curlin and bounded as follows, i.e., Beginning at a small turkey oak in Curlins line, thence south or nearly south by a line of marked trees to a small white oak on the north side of the ?light Road thence west along said road to a small hickory on the north side of said Road in Hardie Lourey's line thence south to a red oak in said Curlins line by ???? direction along Curlins line to the first station containing by estimation seven acres more or less to have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land with the improvements thereon and all the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said Curlin his heirs And the said John Lourey for himself, his heirs and executors doth covenant, promise and agree with the said Seth Curlin his heirs and assigns that the said tract or parcel of land is free from all charges and demands whatsoever, that hath lawful title to the same in fee simple and hath full ???? and lawful right to convey the same and every part thereof to the said Seth Curlin and his heirs and the said John Lourey for himself and his heirs doth covenant to warrant and will warrant and defend unto the said Seth Curlin and his heirs the land and premises hereby conveyed and every part thereof against the lawful claims and demand of all persons whatsoever.
