Witnesseth that the said Mark Grady for and in consideration of the Sum of Three hundred and four dollars to him in hand paid by the said John Grady. The receipt whereof the said Mark Grady doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted Bargained & Sold & by these presents doth give grant bargain & Sell alien and confirm unto the said John Grady his heirs & assigns forever a Certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the said County of Wake on the Waters of Bartons Creek and Bounded as follows (Viz.) Begining at Beach on the dividing Branch. thence South Eighty five poles to a red oak Thence West 240 poles to a Black Oak then N 108 pole to the said Branch to a sweet gum thence down the Various courses of the said Branch to the Begining & Containing 142 Acres more or less & also all wood, ways water Courses and all and every appertenances thereunto belonging, Rents issues & profits of the aforesaid land and premises unto the said John to his only proper use & benefit forward & the said Mark Grady for himself his heirs & do warrant the said lands & premises unto the said John Grady against the claim right & title of all and every person whatsoever. I will Warrant the same free & discharge from all manner of incumberances whatever. In witness whereof the said Mark Grady hath hereunto Set his name and Seal the day & year first above written.
