Witnesseth: that the aforesaid William Hocut doth give grant bargain and sell unto him the aforesaid Samuel High a certain tract or parcel of land lying in Wake County, and State aforesaid, and lying on the west side of Buffelow swamp. Begining at a Black Jack, a corner in Hendleys line, runing East to a Red oak, in the old line, thence South to a corner red oak, thence East along a line of marked trees to Buffelow swamp, thence up the swamp to William Rabons line, thence West with the said line to a corner pine in Elizabeth Coles line thence South to the first Station. To have and to hold, the aforesaid land, to him the said Samuel High his heirs and assigns forever. The aforesaid land containing two hundred and Ninety acres be the same more or less. I bind myself my heirs Executors Administrators and assigns and against any lawful claim of any person whatsoever, and the said land to be free and clear, at the sealing and delivery of these presents and for the performance of the aforesaid land I have hereunto set my hand and seal this day and date above written.
