Kezia (x her mark) Jinks Wit: Therwood S. Martin (his mark); Cordie Martin (her mark) John Mills Jurat? Nov Session 1824 The within deed was in open court duly proved by the oath of John Mills a witness thereto and ordered to be registered in the Registers Office of Wake County in Book No 6 and page 185 (or 105) the 2rth day of January A.D. 1825. ?S. King C.C. R. Smith, Reg Additional Comments: NOTE: Barbara Montgomery. The deed shows that Thomas Jinks wife, Kezia Jinks, gave her personal property to her son-in-law, Britain Mills. I think that this must have been land that she inherited from her father but I haven't figured out how to find out the name of the previous owner. I believe this could indicate that all of her other children moved away from the area, but Britain agreed that he & Catherine would stay close by and take care of her. Catherine Jinks married Britain Mills. Both are buried in The Mills Family Cemetery.
