Westwood A. Jones }
     to
John Reeves       }   Know all men by these presents that I Westwood A. Jones 
for and in consideration of the sum of one Hundred and forty pounds to me in 
hand paid by John Reeves the Receipt whereof I do acknowledge as fully 
Satisfyed have bargained & Sold unto John Reeves a negro boy named Tom the 
said negro Tom unto said John Reeves his Heirs etc I do for myself Heirs etc. 
warrant and Defend unto the said John Reeves the Said negro Tom against and 
from the Right title Claim or Demand of all person or persons forever, In 
witness whereof I set my hand and Seal this 30 June 1802.

         The within Bill of Sale was in open Court duly proved by the oath of 
Tigll Jones a witness thereto and ordered to be Registered - 
                                   S. Turner

Registered in the Registers Office of Wake County in Book R and page 240 the 
22nd day of March 1803.
