DANIEL & MARY PARHAM, HIS WIFE, GRANTOR	
JAMES BOYD, GRANTEE

This Indenture Made this 3rd day of September One Thousand eight hundred and 
twenty five Between James Boyd of the County of Wake and State of North Carolina 
and Daniel Parham & his wife Mary S. of the other part.  Witnesseth that for and 
in Consideration of the Sum of fifty five dollars to us in hand paid by the said 
James Boyd at or before the sealing of these presents, the Reeceipt whereof we do 
hereby acknowledge and therefor doth ___________ & discharge unto the said James 
Boyd his heirs a tract or parcel of Land lying Situate lying and being in the 
County of Wake and State aforesaid on both sides of Laurel Creek & bounded as 
following.  Begining at a Hickory on the Road side in Chavis line & Rogers being 
the Corner thence down said Road with Rogers line to a stake opposite to Daniel 
Parham House now James Boyds thence along with Parham line West across laurel 
Creek to a Stake in Roger's line. thence North West said Roger's line to the 
corner on a white oak thence along with Samuel Reavis line, Decd. to Chavis line 
thence with his line N.East to the Begining.  Containing Sixty one Acres more or 
less with all _____________ waters and improvements thereunto belonging.  I the 
said Daniel Parram & his wife Mary doth for ever Warrant & defend the S. lands 
unto the S. Boyd his heirs and assigns forever _______ co defend to him the S. 
Boys to be free and clear of all incumberances whatever ________
