Y. ROGERS, C. J. ROGERS & OTHERS This Indenture made & indented this the 3rd. day of January 1861 between Abner Peace of the County of Wake & State of North Carolina of the one part, and B. Y. Rogers & C. J. Rogers & others of the other part. Witnesseth that whereas the said Abner Peace _________ Justly indebted to the following persons to wit. One note to Calvin J. Rogers for fifty dollars with interest thereon, one note to Peleg Rogers for five dollars with interest from 27th July 1860, one note to B. Y. Rogers for Fifty-seven Dollars & sixty-two cents with interest from date, one note to B. Y. Rogers for one hundred & forty four dollars and twenty three cents with interest from date. One note to Geo. W. Thompson for about seventy five dollars with interest thereon. One note to Edward Cooley for two hundred dollars with John Peace security with interest thereon. One note to James Ferrell and John Peace security for Fifty dollars with interest thereon. One note to John Peace for Three hundred dollars with interest thereon. I the said Abner Peace for the further consideration of the sum of one dollar to me in hand by the above parties before the assigning & sealing & delivery the same have this day bargained sold & delivered unto thm the aforesaid parties the following property to wit. All my interest in the tract of land whereon I now live, four head of horses, two waggons, two Yoke of Oxen, Two buggies, Eight head of Cattle, twenty head of hogs, all my crop of corn, wheat Tobacco, Fodder, Oats, shucks & all my household and kitchen furniture which property I the said Abner Peace bind myself my heirs admns. Executors & assigns to warrant & defned the right & title to them the aforesaid parties, their heirs & assigns forever against all manner of claims whatsoever And on or before the 1st of December next the said parties ______ as liberty to dispose of all of said property by giving Ten days notice thereof by John Peace & B. Y. Rogers as trustees and payoff all the debts interested & cost connected with the same okey the balance if any to the said Abner Peace.
