All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Beverly Watson beverly_wat@msn.com July 2, 2010, 6:14 pm Written: March 7, 1787 Recorded: May 21, 1788 Deed Book H, Pg 49 7 Mar 1787 Reaves to Bell § This Indenture made this seventh Day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred & Eighty Seven Between William Reaves of the County of Wake & State of North Carolina, of the one part & Robert Bell Heif o Thoms Bell Decd of the County & State aforesaid of the other part Witness that for & in Consideration of the ? of One Hundred Pounds Currency of Said State of No. Carolina the Receipt whereof he the said William Reaves doth hereby acknowledge, & himself to be fully Satisfyed Contented & Paid hath Bargained & Sold & by these presents doth Fuly & Clearly bargin sell alien & Confirm unto Robert Bell his Heirs & assigns forever One Certain tract or parcel of Land lying in Wake County on the W. side of Horse Creek Containing five Hundred & five acres, Bounded as follows, to wit) Beginning at a line in James Peters line, Running north sixty degrees W. three Hundred & Seventy four poles to a pine thence N. One Hundred & fifty five poles to a red Oak, thence E. three Hundred & twenty poles to a pine thence to the first Station. To have & to hold the above Mentioned Land together with all woods waters mines minerals Hereditiments (sic) & appurtenances thereunto belonging to the above I Robert Bell his Heirs or assigns forever & I the said William Reaves doth for myself my Heirs & assigns warrant & Forever defend the title of said Land unto the said Robert Bell forever - In Witness Whereof I have Hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal the Day & Date above written - Signed Sealed & Delivered William Reaves (Seal) In presence of - John Humphres Wake County - March Term 1787 Then was the Execution of the within Deed in open Court Duly proved by the Oath of John Humphres Esq, a Witness thereto & order to be Registered.
