Reves, Senr § To Wm. Reves, Junr § This Indenture made the 25th day of October in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred & ninety eight, Between William Reves Senr of the County of Wake and State of North Carolina of the one part, and William Reves Junr his son of the County and State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that the said William Reves Senr for the consideration of the love and affection he bears to the said William Reves Junr his son besides other good causes him thereunto moving, Hath given granted released and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant release and confirm unto the said William Reves his Heirs and assigns forever, a certain Tract or parcel of Land Situate lying & being in the County aforesaid on the South Side of Elobys Creek and bounded as follows Begining at a Hickory on said Creek in Holloways line, thence with said line South forty degrees East Sixty poles to a water oak, thence South twenty two poles to a willow on Charles Reves Spring Branch thence up the various courses of said branch South & South Easterly one hundred & twenty eight pole to a persimmon Tree on Said Branch in Samuel Peakes line near an old field thence with said line North twenty five degrees East one hundred & twenty two pole to a post oak thence North Seventy degrees West twenty pole to a pine thence North twenty three degrees East forty eight pole to a small red oak in said Peakes line, thence North fifty eight pole to a Hickory on the Bank of said Creek, thence up the various courses of said Creek to the Beginning Containing One Hundred and thirty acres be the same more or less. It being part of two Tracts of Land one granted from the State aforesaid, the other deeded by John Shearing recourse being had to the Grant & Deed will more fully appear, with all and singular the rights Hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the said Given Lands to the only proper use and benefit of the said William Reves Junr his heirs & assigns forever, said William Reves Senr doth Covenant and agree for himself his Heirs Exectrs & Admins that the said William Reves Junr his heirs Executors Admins and assigns may forever hereafter have hold use occupy possess enjoy said given Lands without any interruption whatsoever and he further agrees that tis free and discharged from all manner of incumbrances & that he will warrant and forever defend the same from the claims of any persons whatsoever, In Witness whereof he hath hereunto set his hand & affixed his seal the day & date above written.
